To ensure as many of our potential family clients are made aware of what Chelmsford Mencap can provide, and to enable potential donors and supporters to be as informed as possible, the Charity needs to invest in an ongoing PR campaign and regularly update its promotional material and web site. Contributions towards the following are sought:

Schedule of Events

10.30am – 12pm - Registration, bacon roll, coffee or tea

11.30am - Rolling start for 18 hole golf tournament.  Beverages may be purchased on the course at the half way mark

4pm – 5pm - Bar open

5pm – 6.30-pm - Rolling two course carvery (beef and turkey) followed by coffee

7pm - Awards Ceremony, Raffle and Auction

(all of the above included in the entry price per head)

We are holding a quiz night at the Essex County Cricket Club on 22nd October 2010.  The evening will include a finger buffet and entry costs £4.00 per person.

Project : New Building – The Chelmsford Mencap Discovery Centre

Chelmsford Mencap do not currently own a building in which we can operate our seven clubs from.  We are looking for businesses and individuals to help us raise money so that we can buy new premises which will allow us to hold all our activities under one roof.  With the right facilities there will many more fantastic opportunities open to our members and volunteers.  With a new ‘Discovery Centre’ we hope to be able to impliment a stronger supportive community structure to help our parents, carers, members and volunteers, as well as helping our members with special needs get into work and to maximise their true potential.

Taking place at TenPin, 16 Tattersall Way, Chelmsford on the 21st September at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start, we have organised a fun bowling tournament open to the public that anyone who likes bowling will enjoy, from the very young to the very… wise (we don’t want to call you old!). 

With a smell of competition in the air and a shine of your bowling ball you can be dancing down the alley John Travolta-style with your very own Sandy on your arm.

The evening costs £15 each which includes two games of bowling and a monster meal with drinks for your team.  You will need to collect sponsored pledges for your total score.

There will prizes for the best team and the player with the highest score.
